An architectural wellness experience by Sisley Paris

An icon of contemporary hospitality
The Romeo Hotel Roma was conceived in the heart of the Italian capital as a project of urban and cultural regeneration, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Devoto Design.
Part of the Romeo Collection and a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the hotel presents a vision of contemporary luxury based on fluid architecture, formal research and absolute attention to the guest experience. The interiors engage in dialogue with the historic city without imitating it, creating an autonomous, recognisable and sophisticated language.
Within this context, the design of the furnishings plays a central role: materials, volumes and surfaces contribute to shaping an immersive atmosphere where aesthetics and function coexist in balance, elevating the perception of wellbeing.
Design-driven beauty in wellness
The philosophy of C.O.D.E. finds a natural affinity with the vision of Romeo Hotel Roma, where wellbeing is conceived as an integral part of the project’s identity. For C.O.D.E., every creation originates from listening to specific needs and from a design culture that places the individual and the gesture at its centre. The ability to customise materials, finishes and configurations allows C.O.D.E. to respond to demanding requirements, such as those defined by the Sisley Paris protocol, translating technological and functional standards into an authentic and coherent comfort experience.

For Romeo Hotel Roma, Java was selected — the C.O.D.E. chaise longue designed by Laurent Malbert, customised by the Romeo Hotel team with a burnished steel structure and a white mattress, in line with the specifications of the Sisley Paris protocol. Java stands out for its contemporary silhouette and refined interplay of solids and voids that supports the body in a complete and natural way. Designed for wellness environments, it offers deep and controlled relaxation thanks to its ergonomic structure and removable, washable mattress.
The customisation chosen for this project enhances the dialogue between material and light: the burnished steel adds character and visual depth, while the white mattress expresses purity, hygiene and formal rigour. Placed within an iconic environment, Java becomes both a functional and identity-defining element, capable of combining design, comfort and advanced technological requirements.
