Annual meeting dedicated to the design of the most renowned products

By Exhibitions and events

The art of evolved well-being, our luxury vision

Within the stand dedicated to CODE and SKYY, we had the pleasure of presenting our SKYY S_01 massage table. On this occasion, we were able to engage directly with visitors, answering questions and exploring the design choices and distinctive features of this model in greater depth.

S_01 by SKYY represents a modern and essential interpretation of comfort, where design and functionality meet in harmonious balance. The exhibition layout was carefully designed to highlight the model’s distinctive characteristics—from the selected materials and attention to detail to its proportions and geometry—each element conceived to express the design philosophy behind SKYY.

The model showcased at the fair featured a Natural Oak finish, a wood that conveys warmth and texture, enhancing the material’s natural beauty and creating a harmonious dialogue with the venue’s unique and striking architecture.

The White mattress completed the display with a touch of brightness and purity, creating a sense of visual lightness and reinforcing the project’s elegant and minimalist identity. The combination of the natural warmth of wood and the freshness of white created a coherent exhibition experience, enhancing the massage table while seamlessly integrating it into the surrounding space and offering visitors a refined and harmonious perception of the design.

In this way, the presentation of S_01 by SKYY went beyond showcasing a product—it told a broader design vision capable of combining aesthetics, innovation, and comfort, inviting guests to focus on the attention to detail and the philosophy that guides each of our creations.

AKT Group in Termalia Brașov: Innovation in wellness and luxury spa

By Exhibitions and events

Rethinking spas between innovation and design vision

The fair represented an important platform for dialogue and networking, bringing together professionals and industry operators from around the world. It was a unique opportunity to share innovation, trends, and best practices in the field of wellness and the design of spaces dedicated to relax.

During the exhibition, Angelica Maran – CEO and Co-founder of AktMe and SKYY – delivered a speech entitled “From Passive to Productive,” presenting participants with an innovative and practical vision of the role of massage tables in spa design. Her presentation encouraged professionals to rethink these elements not merely as functional tools, but as true operational partners in the design of wellness spaces—capable of influencing the overall guest experience and becoming an integral part of the design process.

The talk offered a valuable reflection on the strategic role of every element within relax areas: from materials and furnishings to integrated technologies and environmental design, each component contributes to creating a coherent, functional, and engaging experience. A new perspective emerged, where functionality, aesthetics, and entrepreneurial vision combine to redefine the very concept of luxury spa design.

The future of the luxury spa starts here

Participation in Termalia was therefore much more than an exhibition. It was an opportunity for dialogue, cultural exchange, and professional discussion, allowing us to present our innovative solutions, share our design philosophy, and engage with key players in the international wellness sector—opening the door to new collaborations and development opportunities.

The new trends in luxury wellness

By Trends

Well-being today is an experience. As such it must be understood, imagined and designed to engage the body, time and space in a coherent way. Here we summarize industry trends with a particular focus on the 5-star luxury world: a place where ostentation is transcended by a holistic approach to experience and treatment becomes innovation.

From treatments to furniture, how the wellness experience changes

In high-end wellness, the concept of luxury has long since ceased to coincide with excess. Today, the true value lies in the quality of the experience, in the ability to create environments that foster slow time, listening to the body, and an authentic relationship with space. Spas, hotels, and luxury yachts are redefining wellness as a design journey, where treatments, architecture, and furnishings interact coherently and consciously.

Contemporary luxury: less ostentation, more awareness

New trends in luxury wellness speak a language of balance, silence, and personalization. Well-being is no longer a sequence of services, but a continuous experience that accompanies the guest from the entrance to the final relaxation space. In this scenario, each element contributes to the overall perception: the light, the materials, the proportions, the way the body is received and supported. Luxury becomes invisible, but deeply perceptible.

CODE DNA

CODE massage beds and chaise lounges were born as project elements, designed to interpret relaxation in a conscious and contemporary way. Each model is designed to accompany the body with naturalness. Design, inspired by landscapes and architecture, dialogues with space without imposing itself. More than furnishings, our products are places dedicated to well-being.

From standard treatments to tailor-made routes

In the world of high-end spas, treatments are evolving towards an increasingly personalized and holistic approach. The body is no longer considered as a sum of parts, but as a complex system, in which mind and physicality dialogue. Slow rituals, sensory pathways, and tailored treatments require spaces capable of accompanying this transformation. If the treatment becomes deeper, the environment must also be up to par, sustaining the experience without interrupting it.

Design as a new high-end wellness standard

We therefore move from a decorative aesthetic to a profoundly design-based design: well-being is the culture of the project. Each element does not serve to amaze, but to sustain the experience, to create continuity between space and body. Wellness becomes part of the space’s identity, becoming a transversal dimension; relaxation areas are no longer passageways, but living spaces; architecture becomes fluid, welcoming, designed to foster permanence and recovery.
In this context, furnishings become an integral part of the project: they meet precise criteria of ergonomics, durability, and material quality, combining beauty and well-being.

CODE: Interpret trends, don’t chase them

New trends in luxury wellness point in a clear direction: less spectacle, more substance. Which translates into more attention to the body, time, space. In this process, the choice of furnishings is never neutral: it is a declaration of intent.

Aware of this vision, CODE designs furniture elements dedicated to well-being, considering them an integral part of architecture and experience. CODE massage beds and chaise lounges are designed to meet high-end standards, combining ergonomics, build quality, select materials, and customization options. In spa, hotel, and yacht projects, they become design tools capable of interpreting luxury wellness trends and transforming them into lasting experiences.

How to choose the ideal chaise longue for spas, hotels, and luxury yachts

By Guida alla scelta, Selection guide

In contemporary design dedicated to well-being, the chaise longue occupies a precise and often underestimated role. It is not a decorative object, nor a simple seat, but a real space of relationship between body, time and architecture. In spa, hotel, and luxury yacht, the way you design the relax speaks volumes about the vision of a place: attention to the person, quality of the experience, respect for rhythms. It is from this awareness that the need arises to question how to choose a chaise longue capable of interpreting well-being in an authentic, coherent and lasting way. In this article, we share some thoughts that are intended to help you choose the best chaise longue for your outdoor area, poolside, and relaxation area.

Ergonomics: Comfort is not an option

In spas, hotels, and luxury yachts, ergonomics cannot be considered a detail. A chaise longue designed for relaxation must support the body naturally, promoting spontaneous and prolonged postures. The lines must be continuous, the volumes calibrated, the surfaces designed to accommodate. Authentic comfort always comes from a conscious project, which puts the person at the center and transforms the furniture into an experience, not a simple function.

Materials, finishes and durability over time

In contemporary luxury, quality is recognized in the ability to last. The materials used for a chaise longue intended for professional contexts must be selected, certified, and designed to withstand without losing identity. Noble woods, high-end technical fabrics, and refined finishes become fundamental elements not only for the aesthetics, but for the very life of the project. In high-traffic environments, maintaining comfort and beauty over time is an integral part of design responsibility.

Hospitality and Wellness: When Relaxation Becomes a Project

In the world of high-end hospitality and contemporary wellness, the chaise longue is no longer a simple furnishing complement. It is a space in which the body settles, time slows down and the experience takes shape. Choosing the right chaise longue means designing well-being, interpreting the context, and giving continuity to the architectural language of a place. Spas, hotels, and luxury yachts share the same need: to offer authentic, measured comfort, consistent with the space’s identity and the people who inhabit it.

Spa and relaxation: the key role of the chaise longue

Inside a spa, the chaise longue represents one of the quietest and most personal moments of the experience. It is the time suspended between treatments, the space in which the body assimilates and the mind slows down. In these contexts, design cannot be decorative or self-referential. It must accompany, support, respect. Form, ergonomics and materials directly affect the quality of relaxation and the overall perception of the project. A chaise longue designed for wellness always comes from a deep knowledge of the body and its times, and fits into space without ever interrupting its balance.

Luxury hotel: visible comfort, but never ostentatious

In luxury hotels, the chaise longue becomes an integral part of the stay experience. It is found in relaxation areas, suites, and the most private common spaces, where comfort must be immediate but never declared. Here the design tells a vision of reception made of continuity, light, matter. A quality chaise longue dialogues with the architecture and atmosphere of the place, helping to create a feeling of calm and belonging. It is a discreet presence, which stands out not for excess, but for consistency.

Aboard Yachts and Luxury Ships: Well-Being on the Move

In the nautical context, the relaxation project takes on an additional complexity. The chaise longue must offer deep and long-lasting comfort, but also respond to precise technical needs, related to the marine environment and movement. Materials, finishes and construction become central elements of the project. Here the design is never static: it accompanies the journey, the landscape, the rhythm of the sea. The chaise longue thus becomes a place of contemplation, a threshold between interior and exterior, between space and horizon.

DNA CODE

CODE chaise longues are born as project elements, designed to interpret relaxation in a conscious and contemporary way. Each model is designed to accompany the body with naturalness, through fluid geometries, studied ergonomics and selected materials. The design, inspired by landscapes and architecture, dialogues with the space without imposing itself, while the construction quality and the possibility of customization make each chaise longue suitable for spa settings, hotels and luxury yachts. More than sessions, they are places dedicated to time and well-being.

When the chaise longue becomes a project signature

What sets a designer chaise longue apart from a standard seat is its ability to become a signature. Signature of a vision, a method, a way of understanding well-being. In spa, hotel, and luxury yacht projects, the chaise longue is never an isolated element: it is part of a larger narrative, one of coherence, measure, and attention to experience. It is in this dialogue between body, space and matter that design transcends function and becomes language.

CODE and the evolution of relaxation

It is starting from this vision that CODE has defined its canons. Each chaise longue is designed as a design element, not a standard product. Listening to the context, design culture, and controlling each phase of the process allow you to create solutions dedicated to contemporary well-being. In the projects carried out by CODE, the chaise longue becomes a tool to elevate the experience, interpreting relaxation as a design value and not as a simple function.

Spa Massage Beds: Between Aesthetics and Wellness

By Selection guide

Only through deep listening and observation of detail does the ability to offer answers that truly matter arise. In this section, we’ve collected the most frequently asked questions to guide you through informed choices, cutting-edge technologies, and design designed for well-being. Because every response is part of our commitment to creating tools that are not just furnishings, but experiences.

1. How to choose a massage table for a spa?

To choose the most suitable professional massage table for your situation, you need to evaluate the technical characteristics of the table, such as size, ergonomics, electrical adjustments, materials, as well as the type of treatments performed and their consistency with the spa’s visual identity. Aware of the needs of a high-level spa, CODE has developed a customization service that makes each product unique and highly performant.

2. What features should a spa bed have?

The professional massage table intended for the spa must have those requirements that the spa requires. In other words: if you’re wondering what the most appropriate massage bed is for your spa, you should consider things like:

  • the facial and body treatments provided for by the adopted protocol
  • the presence of water in conjunction with the massage table
  • the dimensions of the cabin or space beauty & wellness
  • the type of usual spa customer (height and weight)
  • the degree of comfort you want to guarantee to the customer and the operator
  • the luxury and relaxation features you want to convey

Starting from these elements, it will be possible to determine the best dimensions of the plateau, the structure of the mattress, the ergonomic systems to be provided, the materials to be used and the electrical adjustments to be inserted.

It is then necessary to consider the aesthetics of the spa environment so that the stylistic and architectural style is maintained in accordance with the visual identity.

3. What type of padding is best for a spa bed?

For a spa cot, the ideal padding combines high-density foam (for durability and support) and a soft top layer to conform to your body shape and ensure maximum comfort. CODE professional massage beds combine high-resilience foam memory foam with an HR foam layer. The mix offers the right balance between support and welcome.

4. What materials are best suited for a spa bed?

The choice of materials of a spa cot is a key element in ensuring comfort, durability and perceived quality within a spa or professional wellness center. A spa massage table must in fact respond to aesthetic, functional and hygienic needs, maintaining high performance even in intensive use contexts.

The load-bearing structure should be made of high-strength treated metal or wood, capable of ensuring stability, silence and safety over time. For contact surfaces, padding plays a central role: high-density foams ensure uniform ergonomic support, avoiding deformation and loss of comfort.

I spa bed liners must be strong, breathable and easy to sanitize. High-end technical materials, designed to withstand oils, creams, and cosmetic products, allow for effective cleaning and perfect hygiene between treatments, without compromising softness to the touch.

Finally, in high-end spa massage tables, the quality of the materials also translates into perceived value: thoughtful finishes, elegant surfaces, and handcrafted details help create an environment consistent with an exclusive wellness experience, strengthening the spa’s identity and positioning.

Professional Massage Beds: A Guide to Choosing

By Guida alla scelta, Selection guide

Only through deep listening and observation of detail does the ability to offer answers that truly matter arise. In this section, we’ve collected the most frequently asked questions to guide you through informed choices, cutting-edge technologies, and design designed for well-being. Because every response is part of our commitment to creating tools that are not just furnishings, but experiences.

1. How big should a massage table be?

The standard measurements of a professional massage table are around 75/80 centimetres wide and 200 centimetres wide. These measurements are dictated by the average size of the cabins and the average build of their customers.

2. How tall should a massage bed be?

The height of the massage bed must be adjustable to ensure the client lies comfortably and allow the operator to perform the beauty and wellness treatment in total comfort.

3. What differentiates a fixed massage table from a mobile one?

The difference between a fixed massage table and a mobile (portable) massage table mainly concerns structure, use and professional context. Here’s a clear comparison to help you choose the best solution:

Fixed massage table

The fixed bed is designed to stay permanently within a studio, beauty center, or spa. It has a robust and stable structure (wood or metal) that allows for intensive and continuous use, greater load capacity, superior comfort for the customer and operator and offers the possibility of advanced adjustments (electric height, backrest, legrest). The design is more elegant, making it ideal for luxury environments such as spas, hotels, suites and spas.

Mobile Massage Cot

The mobile bed is designed for those who work on the go or need flexibility. Simpler in structure and design, it is aimed at the public of home massage therapists, itinerant physiotherapists and in occasional settings.

Professional Massage Bed: Electric VS Manual

By Selection guide

A professional massage table is not a simple operational support, but a central element of the wellness ritual. It influences the operator’s posture, the continuity of treatment and the guest’s perception of comfort, determining the overall quality level of the cabin.

In this article, we analyze in detail the differences between electric and manual massage tables, comparing features, ergonomic advantages, impact on customer experience, and strategic value of the investment. An in-depth study designed for those who want to choose not only based on cost, but based on a professional, advanced and excellence-oriented vision, such as the one that guides each project CODE

1. What is a professional electric massage table?

An electric massage table is an advanced device designed for aesthetic, wellness, or therapeutic treatments. Equipped with silent motors, it allows automatic height, backrest and leg adjustments, ensuring optimal comfort and performance.

2. What is the difference between an electric and a manual cot?

While the difference between an electric massage bed and a manual massage bed may seem obvious, it’s helpful to delve deeper to better understand the differences and benefits in terms of use, perceived value, and investment.

Manual massage tables

Manual massage tables have pre-set adjustments that mechanically determine the height, backrest, and leg positions. The operator must therefore make an effort to position the cot in the most suitable manner, without having the possibility of a measurement in accordance with his height and physical strength. With a manual bed, the customer experience is equally compromised: without the guarantee of tailored comfort and the need for continuous interruptions in treatment, they amplify tensions and cancel out the desired well-being experience.

Essentially, the manual bed requires slower and more cumbersome mechanical interventions, less stability, and greater commitment from the operator, who must adapt to the bed to properly perform the treatment while adhering to the structure of the massage bed. Its shape increases the need for constant maintenance to avoid instability and compromised functionality. The manual massage bed is certainly cheaper than an electric massage bed, but it can prove unsatisfactory for a medium- to long-term strategy that focuses on maintaining its own equipment and, by diminishing the perceived, on customer loyalty.

Electric massage tables

The electric cot offers smooth adjustments, memories, and no physical effort for the operator; its use benefits the operator, amplifies the effectiveness of the treatment, and improves the customer experience. We see all the advantages in detail in the following paragraph.

3. What are the advantages of an electric massage table?

The advantages of using an electric massage table for professional treatments are ergonomic comfort, adaptability to treatment needs, and greater professionalism in the cabin. The electric massage table intensifies the benefits of the treatment and improves the guest experience.

1. Advantages for the operator

Correct posture, calibrated distances, and natural inclinations reduce disorders resulting from incorrect positions and fatigue, ensuring the professional maintains adequate psychophysical well-being. An advantage that reveals its importance at both the experiential and business levels. More comfortable and rested, the professional can easily perform the treatment with punctual, dedicated and high-performance attention. At the same time it is guaranteed high welfare standards and greater safety at the workplace.

2. Amplified treatment efficacy

But there’s more. Opting for an electric cot over a manual station brings concrete benefits not only for the operator who, by adapting the cot with a simple gesture, without effort, the cot to his own will certainly find himself at an advantage in carrying out the beauty treatment, but also for the guest.

3. Amplified customer experience

Using a professional electric massage table concretely improves the guest’s customer experience, transforming the treatment into a seamless, continuous, and deeply comfortable wellness experience.

Thanks to quiet and precise electrical regulations, the body is welcomed and supported without interruptions, avoiding sudden movements or pauses that could break relaxation. The operator can adapt the cot to the needs of the treatment and the person, always maintaining maximum ergonomics and concentration on the gesture.

The result is a more immersive experience, where comfort, continuity and attention to detail reinforce the perception of quality and care. An element that directly impacts guest satisfaction and the perceived value of the service, elevating well-being to a higher level, consistent with a luxury and professional vision.
